Google is in the process of discontinuing this service. The replacement is now Firebase which has paid options and in general add more features but at a cost.
QR codes are very useful especially if used with Google shortening service. This enables you not only to have a QR code but be able to monitor how useful it because you will be able know how many using Google analytics to see the clicks.
Below is how to set this up. After you have logged into your Google account
- Goto https://goo.gl/
- Type in the web address you would like to use.
- Using the shorten link copy that into another google search browser window with .qr at the end and it.
- Then it displays the QR image, copy this, (right click - save as)
Then your done - here one I did that takes you to a web site I designed.
